Sources
Polling
Poll averages blend published national polls from the polling houses named in the small print of every page, for example YouGov, Ipsos, Demoskop, Novus, Abacus Data and Morning Consult. Polls are compiled from public records and the original pollster release is the authoritative document.
Election results
Seat baselines and region maps are built from official results published by national electoral authorities, for example Elections Canada, the AEC, the Bundeswahlleiterin, the Ministère de l'Intérieur, Elecciones.es equivalents and their counterparts in each country.
Boundaries and geometry
Constituency geometry comes from the official boundary custodians. Elections Canada federal electoral districts, the AEC national boundary set, data.gouv.fr circonscriptions, the Bundeswahlleiterin Wahlkreis file, the Ministero dell'Interno collegi, OSi Dáil constituencies, geoBoundaries and Eurostat NUTS for administrative regions.
Sport
MLB standings from the MLB Stats API. NFL data from ESPN public feeds. Formula 1, football and Olympic figures are compiled from public records and cross checked against a second source before publication.
How we treat sources
Every page carries its own source line. Where two sources disagree we flag it rather than pick silently, and where we cannot verify a figure we leave it out.
